Jane Austen Movie Dresses for English Country Dancing Balls abound but what about men’s Regency outfits for the guys?
When I tried to entice my husband to join me at the English Country Dancing and Jane Austen Balls, he would only come if he had a period outfit. There seemed to be quite a lot of diaries about dresses but very little about men’s coats, breeches or vests. I did manage to make him an outfit and he gets a lot of compliments. Needless to say he loves the outfit. On the men’s page I will try to show how I got here from there by retracing my steps.
